Who it is for and what problem it solves
With daily medicine, people both miss doses and lose track of whether they already took one. Many apps send notifications, but notifications are easy to miss and disappear quickly.
- Notifications vanish within seconds and the dose time passes unnoticed
- Some apps handle every-other-day, weekly or specific-weekday medicines incorrectly
- Some apps show a full-screen ad every time you log a dose, or require a paid plan to see your history
Screens and features (planned)
Today's medicines
- Medicines listed by time of day (morning, noon, evening, bedtime)
- Tap "Taken" once to record it with the time
- Untaken doses stand out in color, so you can check here when unsure
Medicine alarm
- At the set time, an alarm rings until you stop it (planned to use the iOS 26 alarm system)
- From the alarm screen choose "Taken" or "Remind me in 10 minutes"
- Use notifications only during hours when sound is not wanted
Add a medicine
- Name, dose and times
- Daily, every other day, a number of times per week, specific weekdays, or for a set number of days
- Enter how many pills you have to see the count go down and how many days are left
History
- Taken and missed doses by day, and the share of doses taken each month
- A PDF list to show at appointments
Family
- Manage medicines for several people (children, parents) separately on one iPhone
How it works (planned)
- Add each medicine with its times and schedule
- At dose time, an alarm rings until you stop it
- Take the medicine and tap "Taken"
- If you are unsure later, check "Today's medicines"
Input and output
What you enter
- Medicine names, doses, times and schedules
- Pill count (optional)
- Tapping "Taken"
What you get
- Medicine alarms
- A log of taken and missed doses
- Days of supply left
- A PDF for appointments
How your data is handled
- Records stay on the device and are not sent to our servers
- No account or sign-in
- Medicine information is not shared with other companies
How it differs from existing apps
- Uses an alarm that rings until stopped, not just a notification
- Handles every-other-day, specific-weekday and fixed-length schedules from the start
- No ads in the middle of logging (ads planned only in places like the bottom of a list)
What this app does not do
- It does not advise on doses or drug interactions, or decide changes to medication
- It does not diagnose or treat. Take medicine as your doctor or pharmacist instructs
- For important medicines, also use other reminders such as family members, in case an alarm does not sound
Frequently asked questions
Is Nomidoki available now?
No. It is under consideration and not on the App Store. This page describes the plan.
My iPhone medication notifications disappear before I notice them. Is there a more reliable reminder?
Nomidoki is planned to use an alarm that keeps ringing until you stop it, instead of a notification. You can log "Taken" from the alarm screen.

Yes. Daily, every other day, a number of times per week, specific weekdays and fixed-length courses are planned.
What if I forget whether I already took a dose?
The "Today's medicines" screen shows the time you tapped "Taken". Untaken doses are highlighted.
Can I track medicines for family members?
